Medics and teachers are worried every instance more about the state of mind of contemporary teenagers. Today young people are more inclined to acquire varied psychological frustrations and take their own lives. This lamentable situation can be explained by the feelings of loneliness, incomprehension and disregard from the side of teachers and peers of the same age. Teenagers, although, long for encouragement and conciliation in varied youth subcultures similar to emo, punks, goth etc.

Youth formations frequently clash with the antagonists in the person of adults and teachers who suppose them to reveal a noxious impact on the mind of teens. Quite the opposite is the statement of teenage psychologists who assert that the very subcultures facilitate teenagers to outlive life extremities and hardships of adolescent period. Let us take emo culture as a sample. A lot of people think emo boys and girls to be aggressive but in fact these teens show as much respect to other people regardless of their beliefs of color of skin. The most significant thing is that emo guys are ready to bid defiance to the norms of society by means of emo clothes and look. Emo girls and boys clothes differs from the common method of dressing: both sexes wear gym footwear, black tight trousers with colored waist-belts, multicolored pins and thongs, a dark coat and a bag hanging over the shoulder. An emo clothes is not the point to affirm something or to differ from the other people but the way of self-actualization. The indignation of some citizens can also be aroused by the look of emo people. Both emo guys and emo girl pierce their ears, tongues and other parts; both have a short haircut and dye it black leaving a long lock that hides half of the face and is painted rosy; both have bright make-up. Emo young people consider that eyes are the mirror of the soul and feelings that's why they accentuate their eyes with black crayons and eye shadows. Teenage psychologists say that such an unusual style of looking and dressing up assist teens express their nature freely.

In addition, it is not only clothes and outward look that differ emo boys and girls from the rest mass of people but especially their psychological state. One can simply discern emo girl from other girls on account of her extraordinary sensitivity and modesty. They are candid and very emotive. Strong feelings of love and sensitivity differ emo boy from other teenagers. It's quite dissimilar feelings, though, which discern from the models ordinary people got accustomed to. Their feelings are rather acute, for instance, they may get dejected when they don't find response or approval of those around them. In conditions of misunderstanding or disregard, teenage psychologists say, average teens as usual retreat into themselves that at times leads to committing suicides. Communication and sharing thoughts with one another is the distinctive feature of emo boys and girls. Well, is there any reason to forbid your child to mix up or to become a part of any youth formation? In this respect medics recommend adults and teachers to share the wish of their offspring to be a part of some youth subculture or a youth formation and give teens the capability to express themselves freely.
